Parigi: The State government is taking all possible steps for transparency in public distribution system PDS. Using the latest technology, the government is trying to ensure smooth functioning of the distribution.

Already, e-PoS machines are being used to check the leakages while portability facility enables the user to receive ration anywhere in the state. Going ahead, the government is now offering Whatsapp services to the beneficiaries. The recently launched T-Ration app is another technical feature in Public Distribution System. As many as 13 applications in this mobile app will make things easy for the users. Users can get any information regarding their ration with help of this app.

The State government has been working vigorously to contain irregularities in the system. Thanks to modern technology, now it is possible to keep vigil on irregular activities. The government focused mainly on transportation of rice, which is meant for PDS. Right from the warehouses to the delivery points, the whole transport activity is monitored with the help of GPS systems. Bio-Metric machines have been arranged at ration shops to curb malpractices.

Now this T-Ration mobile app provides additional information to the beneficiaries. User can contact to a toll-free number for grievances. With the help of new app, users can find a nearby ration shop and get their ration. People from different places come to city for living. They had to go to their native villages to collect ration. But now they can collect their ration from anywhere in the state using the app. People are expressing their happiness over the government’s technological initiatives for facilitating smooth functioning of PDS.
