Violating the high court orders, parking attendants at a theatre (Chandra) have been collecting parking charges from two-wheeler and four-wheeler owners fixing Rs 20 for a two-wheeler and Rs 30-40 per a four-wheeler. This is the practice with many theatres of the town. Earlier, Hyderabad high court passed orders prohibiting collection of parking charges from audiences.

This is the practice with many theatres of the town. Earlier, Hyderabad high court passed orders prohibiting collection of parking charges from audiences.

As per the rules, not a single paisa should be collected from vehicle-owning audiences, shopping mall customers and shopping complex customers. The parking attendants are giving receipt and collecting parking charges. When The Hans India contacted Tandur Tahsildar, the official said that the cinema theatres were prohibited from collecting parking fees from audiences. He said that he would probe into it and take disciplinary action.
