Flyovers to get a facelift
Civic body has taken up the beautification works at several flyovers across the Greater Hyderabad limits as part of beautifying the city landmarks. GHMC is going to beautify all the flyovers by May-end this year. Most of the flyovers were decorated with colourful paintings, grass and ornamental plants underneath and modernised LED lighting.

GHMC is going to beautify all the flyovers by May-end this year. Most of the flyovers were decorated with colourful paintings, grass and ornamental plants underneath and modernised LED lighting.
These works were taken up based on the advice by MAUD principal secretary Arvind Kumar who witnessed this kind of beautification in New Delhi. He instructed the GHMC commissioner B Janardhan Reddy in this regard. GHMC Biodiversity, Electrical and Engineering wings officials prepared an action plan as a pilot project in the first phase at Masab Tank, Basheerbagh, Punjagutta, Greenlands, Telangana Thalli, Harihara kala Bhavan, CTO, Begumpet flyovers will be taken up.
Apart from this, Hi-tech City, Gachibowli flyovers will also be taken up by HMDA and this has been decided in the meeting held recently with the Principal Secretary wherein certain directions have been given to both the officials of GHMC and HMDA to complete this project duly calling the tenders on priority by May end.
