Chandnagar: The culvert work near PJR Enclave adjacent to Diptisrinagar in Chandanagar division which began four months back is going at a slow pace. There appears to be no likelihood of it getting completed soon. Besides, the road linking PJR Enclave, Diptisrinagar and Aparna has been dug up for laying pipelines.

As a result the local residents are facing water shortage problems. Diptisrinagar Colony secretary Rajasekhar took the issue to the notice of officials, who did not respond. In frustration, he approached the Water Works DGM and local corporator, who visited the spot on Monday. They asked the officials to complete the work expeditiously. Rajasekhar and colony president Ramayya appealed to the officials to finish the work fast failing which they would face the wrath of local residents.
