Call to invoke PD Act against habitual offenders
Superintendent of Police T Annapurna on Wednesday laid emphasis on invoking the provisions of the PD Act against habitual offenders and laid emphasis on implementing 5S methodology for effective maintenance of office records.Â
Vikarabad: Superintendent of Police T Annapurna on Wednesday laid emphasis on invoking the provisions of the PD Act against habitual offenders and laid emphasis on implementing 5S methodology for effective maintenance of office records.
She insisted on officials to register cases against the PD Act against habitual offenders, rowdy-sheeters, dossier criminals, accused in dacoity cases to reduce the crime rate in the district. Invoking the draconian act would rule out bail for the criminal cases in lower courts except high court. She said that the trial of the cases related to PD Act would be monitored by constitution of a special team.
She elaborated that the 5Ss stand for sorting, straightening, shinining, standardizing and sustaining and they pertain to organising the files and work space. Additional SP Paramala Narsimhulu, Vikarabad DSP Sirisha, Parigi DSP Srinivas, Tandur DSP Ramachandrudu and other police personnel took part in the meeting.
