He directed them to ensure that the entire programme concludes without any hiccups. 

Vikarabad: District Collector Sayyed Omar Jaleel has called upon officials to prepare a pucca plan for distribution of pattadar-passbooks and input subsidy to farmers for the rainy season under the Rytu Bandhu scheme with effect from May 10. He directed them to ensure that the entire programme concludes without any hiccups.

Reviewing the Rytu Bandhu progrmme with tahsildars, agriculture officials and farmers coordination committee coordinators in a meeting held at Collectorate on Thursday, he said 1.65 lakh passbooks against the total 2.65 lakh reached the district and 1.45 lakh cheques also reached the district for payment of Rs 4000 towards input subsidy per acre.

The rest of the pattadar passbooks and cheque books would reach the district by May 3. He asked officials to verify the names in the passbooks. He wanted the officials to observe protocol in the distribution of cheques. District, mandal and village level leaders should be informed through letters about the distribution of passbooks and cheques. He wanted the officials to involve MLAs, MLCs, Ministers and MPs in the whole exercise. He suggested that each team should have a vehicle and a police escort.

He advised the officials to keep ready drinking water, ORS packets and an ANM at the pandal where the cheques are distributed. The cheques can be encashed at the local SBI and Andhra Bank branches. Arrangements have been made for encashing of cheques at Canara Bank for farmers of Nawabpet mandal and at Telangana Grameena Bank for farmers of Nawabpet mandal.

He directed district superintendent of police to make bandobust arrangements to rule out any untoward incidents at the distribution programme. He asked officials to take the support of Rytu Coordination Committee coordinators. Joint Collector Aruna Kumari, Agriculture officer Gopal, Vikarabad and Tandur RDOs Viswanadham and Venumadhava Rao, district farmers’ coordination committee chairman Mahesh Reddy, tahsildars and mandal level agriculture officials and others took part in the programme.
