Gudimalkapur: To discuss the problems being faced by the Shop owners from Gudimalkapur, Mehdipatnam with the help of Flower Market Shop's Association held a press conference on Wednesday.

A shop owner Md Yousuf said “A total of 27 shops are allotted in the market by the government with the area of 6x8 each, but since past two years the shops are being maximised by the owners from 6x8 to 18x20 and 18x30, apart from this many illegal stalls are being installed which is effecting the business of the other store owners. Many complaints have been filed to Chairman of the Market Praveen Kumar and Secretary Sridhar, but they never took an action against them. So we went to the Market Director Laxmi who expressed herself with the survey report, which was corrupt.”

He added that the store owners had also approached the Irrigation Minister Harish Rao with the concern, acting upon which Harish Rao drafted a letter to the market chairman to take action, but no changes has been made since past two months market chairmen is turning blind eye towards the Ministers letter. Mohammed Yousuf, Rafi, Amer, Mubeen,Sajid and other shop owners are requesting government that it is a market and a market should accommodate equal sized shops and proposing the government to take action against the ones who are violating the laws.
