The “Shaheed Swabhimaan yatra” organized by Swabhimaan Desh Ka organisation, taken out with the aim to create consciousness in people towards martyrs, reached Hyderabad after covering several other States in the country. The yatra reached Artillery Centre in Hyderabad on Wednesday night from Chennai.

The yatra reached Artillery Centre in Hyderabad on Wednesday night from Chennai.

Not just creating consciousness but also moving ahead with a purpose to compile data regarding former-servicemen and martyrs at national level and to request the government for improvement of living conditions, status and employment opportunities for the family members of martyrs. A wreath laying ceremony was organised on Thursday at the War Memorial of Artillery Centre, Golconda and tributes were paid to the soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice beyond the call of duty for the nation.

The team also interacted with Commandant and senior officers of the Centre. The yatra had started from India Gate in New Delhi on Shaheed Bhagat Singh Diwas on March 23 and covered Jaipur, Udaipur, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Nasik, Mumbai, Pune, Goa, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram and Chennai. The yatra would further move to Nagpur, Ranchi and then North Eastern States of the country and will finish on June 24 after covering a distance of 15,000 km in 90-day. The yatra is set to cover all the 29 States of the country and finally culminate at New Delhi. The three month long yatra had been organised under the leadership of ‘Swabhimaan Desh Ka’ National President Surender Singh Bidhuri.
