Soon in two decades from 1980 from pager to mobile, it was all that glittering about a mobile phone which was always hooked to head of many. The studies have found that the impact of prolonged mobile phone radiation would have a pathological impact as that of pesticides exposure.

Dr Vyakarnam Nageshwar said, “I would rather call it a dynamite in hand held at the ear. A costlier mobile phone, has now become a status symbol in India, but unfortunately whether costly or cheap none could escape the serious health hazards arising from mobile phone radiation.”

Explaining about the effects of mobile phone causing allergy, Dr Vyakarnam Nageshwar said that increased consumer targeted offers by mobile phone service providers have increased the exposure to chemical and radiation effect on human body from mobile phones and as a result the person develops dehydration leading to dry, itchy patches on cheeks, jaw lines and ears. He said that there was cellular changes in human body which could be due to prolonged use of cell phones resulting in micronuclei formation. These cellular changes were more dangerous having long term effects on health, he added.
