Nizampet: A 6-day Hand woven Eco friendly Handloom Products 'Pochampally Handloom IKAT Mela Kick starts at Kolanu Narayana Reddy Gardens, Nizampet Road, Kukatpally. Tollywood upcoming actress Shalini formally inaugurated the mela.
On the occasion Shalini, said that “It’s nice to see various apparel, particularly Cotton Ikat Fabrics, silk and saris, to be showcased for the Handloom Fashion Connoisseurs. We support the artisans and local community who have been passing on their skills for generations.
Promoting creativity and originality, each design is a result of individual artisan’s creativity which is influenced by the local traditions and cultures “said Mr Devender -chairman and Mr Lavkumar- Director of Pochampally Handloom Park. The Expo will be on till May 13th, 10:00 am to 8pm.
