Bahujan Left Front (BLF) members were addressing a media conference on Monday at Roads & Building Guest House. BLF convener B Venkat alleged that former Kodangal legislator Gurunath Reddy owned most of the lands in Vikarabad district. He said that Gurunath Reddy owned lands and that was in the name of Benamis there. He said that there was about 1156 acre prime land of worth crores and which was in possession of few people.

He said that the population of backward communities was high in the Vikarabad district and government cannot ignore them. He said that most of the lands in district were encroached or usurped by the big businessmen and upper caste people.

He alleged that TRS government has been favoring the upper caste and other rich people from the day of its inception. He said that the recent Rythu Bandhu scheme did not benefit any person belonging to backward communities but it helped already rich to get richer.
