Olympic Day Run evokes good response

Hyderabad: People from all walks of life, including the aged, women and children, enthusiastically participated in the third edition of the Olympic Day Run that was organised by Telangana Olympic Association and Hyderabad District Olympic Association here on Friday. There were four starting points, from where the torch was lit - Keshav Memorial School in Narayanguda; FMC Centre; Visweshwarayya Statue at Khairatabad and Hanuman Vyayam Shala – and culminated at Lal Bahadur Indoor Stadium.

AP Jithender Reddy, MP and President of Telangana Olympic Association, officials from the Association, B Vijay Kumar Yadav, V Narsingam Reddy, P Malla Reddy, S Someshwar Rao, Deputy DEO Chiranjeevi, kabaddi international M Mahender Reddy, champion athletes Seera Jayaram, Neeta Dadwe, BY Dhankishan Bhandari and Satish Kumar Goud, President of Taekwondo Association of Telangana, were among those who joined the Run and carried the torch. Later, eminent sportspersons and coaches were felicitated on the occasion.
