The residents of Allwyn Colony of Kukatpally are facing severe inconvenience caused by accumulation of sewage on the roads after the drainage work launched a month back was left incomplete. Vehicle users are also facing hardships negotiating pits on the narrow road. Pits dug up during drainage works have been filled up with sewage which has become a source of foul smell. 

Kukatpally: The residents of Allwyn Colony of Kukatpally are facing severe inconvenience caused by accumulation of sewage on the roads after the drainage work launched a month back was left incomplete. Vehicle users are also facing hardships negotiating pits on the narrow road. Pits dug up during drainage works have been filled up with sewage which has become a source of foul smell.

Repeated appeals to the officials to complete the unfinished works have been met with no response A resident Manikanta told The Hans India that the work was irregular and going on a slow pace. Aparna told that drainage and water line were side by side and the residents get scared whenever the municipal water is murky and muddy.

GHMC officials said that Allwyn Colony pahse 2 works has been finished and the rest of the works would be completed soon.All these works should have been completed before monsoon, not in monsoon, said Roshaya, a resident of Allwyn Colony.

After many appeals to GHMC, work has not yet been completed, there were many issues in Kukatpally colonies like roads, drainage, water to be solved.
