Hyderabad: With the objective of providing free education for deaf, blind and mentally challenged students with boarding facility, the Ideal School has invited applications for classes nursery to 10th.
Being run by Ideal Information Centre for Disabled (IICD) for about a decade the school located opposite to Muslim Maternity Hospital in Azampura, near Chadarghat in Malakpet is now recognised by the State government till class X. Syed Tabrez Bakshi, IICD secretary, said that the school which aims at all round development of these differently-abled children imparts education on par with standards of the normal schools. He informed that the boarding facility would be provided as an opportunity for those who live in far-off places and districts to learn school education without any hitch.
Besides these facilities all other items including books and uniform will be provided by the school. One of the important aspect of the school is anyone can join irrespective of any religious background. “Experts in sign language will not only teach the regular education, but also teach computer so that they are able to face the world with latest knowledge. We make them learn job-oriented courses, so that they can easily get selected in competitive exams conducted by the government, besides moral education. Special training is also provided after notifications appear,” said Syed Tabrez.
