Pargi: The YSRCP Telangana Minority Cell activists and leaders on Wednesday staged protest in front of the Tahsildar office and demanded the state government to release immediately notification to fill over 1.50 lakh vacancies in various government departments.
Vikarabad district unit president of the party Kolla Yadaiah and minority cell leader Mateen Muddaddi said that cold water has been poured on the aspirations of the youth and unemployed, who had taken part in the movement for Telangana with the hope of new government creating lakhs of jobs for them.
They recalled how Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao went on record on the floor of the State Legislative assembly that over one lakh vacancies remained unfilled in various government departments.
During the past four years, the TRS government managed to fill only 12,000 jobs, they pointed out and demanded the government to come to the rescue of the unemployed by issuing a notification to fill the remaining vacancies also. If the government fails to issue a notification, they assured the unemployed to wage struggles against the government for the cause on behalf of the youth and the unemployed. The YSRCP office was inaugurated at Srinivasa Nagar colony in the town. YSRCP leaders and others took part in the programme.
