Tandur: Commuters are facing hardships with non-availability of drinking water in the bus station here as the reverse osmosis system at the bus station developed mechanical trouble. Former MLC Nageshwar spending out of funds allotted to him sanctioned the reverse osmosis system to filter drinking water.

As the system went out of order, the commuters, especially students, are not able to get a few drops of drinking water. The commuters are drinking water from hotels, restaurants near the bus station. There were instances of hotel owners becoming vexed with the commuters drinking water from their establishments.

RTC drivers, conductors and others are bringing water from their homes. When The Hans India contacted Tandur depot manager Krishna Murthy, who was away at Hyderabad to take part in a meeting, said that he would look into the matter upon his return to Tandur.
