Banjara Hills: Over the last few years, the concept of pet cafes has become fairly popular across India. Now no need to leave your beloved pets at home, you can take them to pet cafes and meet your friends while the pets enjoy themselves. Like humans, animals also need a place where they can hang out and with this initiative Deven Baheti, a pet lover started a pet café in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad and also celebrated rakhi festival for dogs on Sunday at pet café and more than 50 dogs were tied a rakhi.
Deven speaking to The Hans India said that, “From childhood I have been an animal lover and I have rescued a three-legged dog and two cats, I noticed that over the few years the concept of pet cafes has become fairly popular across India and masses were expecting such outings for pets in most of the states across India so with this initiative I have started Hyderabad’s first pet café and providing shelter, ice creams, pup cakes and special care for animals.
Pet cafes with day care centre, the owners can leave their dogs from morning to evening with food as well. On August 8 at the opening of the pet café, more than 50 dogs along with their owners visited. Most of the people called their dogs good boy by which pet cafe celebrated rakhi festival for dogs in association with oyehappy.com. Shruti Dara cofounder of pet café told that “we have organized a rakhi festival for dogs so that animals are also a part of our family and should also be a part of our festival.
Pooja Kanwari, who came from Nalgonda to pet café on the occasion of rakhi festive for dogs says “I came to know about this festival through a Whatsapp pet group and I found it amazing because hardly there are any such cafes in Hyderabad and I felt that this café is human-friendly.” Varun cofounder of www.oyehappy.com said, “we plan surprise gifts on various occasion we got tie up with pet cafe and one of our designers Laya Keerthi designed a dog rakhi by this we have come with rakhi festival for dogs.
