Gowliguda: Heavy rains in several parts of city in the past few days have damaged roads badly. Many potholes are formed in addition to previous ones resulting in traffic snarls and adding woes to commuters. The area opposite to MGBS is of a major concern for commuters as many of them have to pass by the GHMC bin where garbage is scattered which due to rains turned into a filthy area.

“Every time I walk across the road I have to cover my nose with a cloth as the smell is unbearable. I think the municipality must take an action in order to improve its condition,” said Aakash, a local. Asfia, a student, said “Not only government or municipality, but the civilians are also responsible for cleaning up of the road. We must make sure we put garbage in bins and not spill it.” A person standing there said that the drains must be cleaned well before monsoon starts.
