Deputy Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui would act as the special envoy. He is set to press the Malaysian Government to handle related issues, according to reports.

The Chinese premier Li Keqiang Government held a meeting on the issue Tuesday in Beijing. As part of these efforts to work with Malaysian Government cull out the facts, two Chinese expert teams are already in Kuala Lumpur.

The General Office of the State Council assured to offer passengers' families medical treatment, psychological counselling and legal assistance.

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said on Monday that based on analysis of satellite data the plane crashed into the southern Indian Ocean and there were no survivors.

Meanwhile, a Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister, Xie Hangsheng, told Malaysia's Ambassador to Beijing, Iskandar Sarudin, that China wants the precise data that prompted Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak to announce that the flight had “crashed” in the southern Indian Ocean.

After 18 days of agony, hundreds of Chinese, including relatives of those on board, marched to the Malaysian embassy in Beijing Tuesday. Tempers flared as protesters pelted the embassy lawn with plastic bottles.

Malaysia Airlines chairman Mohammed Nor Mohammed, stuck to his guns, telling a press conference that although no wreckage had been found, there was no doubt the flight was lost.

Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 went missing on March 8 from Kuala Lumpur bound to Beijing carrying 239 people including crew members out of which there were 154 Chinese nationals.
