London: A Libyan court has sentenced former dictator Muammar Gaddafi's son, Saif al-Islam, to death for war crimes committed in 2011 revolution.

According to the BBC, the court sentenced eight other people for war crimes linked to 2011 revolution.
Around 30 close associates were on trial, accused of suppressing protests during the uprising.
Abdullah al-Senussi, former head of intelligence for the Gaddafi regime and former Prime Minister Baghdadi al-Mahmoudi are also among those facing the death penalty.
