The website dedicated to extramarital affairs, Ashley Madison has found itself amongst hackers who released files from the database containing every user’s details. The leaked files allegedly contains names, addresses, credit card information along with the members’ sexual fetishes and the computer security researchers who got a hold of the file found it was legitimate warning it could be used for blackmail.


The hackers – ‘Impact Team’ released a 10- gigabyte file on the internet claiming that the file contained Ashley Madison's entire database of 30 million users. The website’s slogan “life is short, have an affair" boasts its ability to privately facilitate affairs between married individuals which is the reason, the release of the user personal details have the potential to be damaging to the people involved.


Twitter has been buzzing with the news of the hack with many supporting the act by the hackers and wait for more names to be revealed.
