Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) is proud to present Nasreen Mohamedi : Waiting is a part of intense living in collaboration with The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid, Spain and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, USA. The show will open 22 September - 11 January, 2016 at the Reina Sofia followed by 1 March to 5 June, 2016 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
This is the first time that such a comprehensive showing of any Indian artist has happened outside India. With 207 of Nasreen Mohammedi's works on display, the exhibition will bring three decades of her work to international audiences, compelling in its handling of her drawings in ink and graphite, watercolours, collages, photographs and a few oil on canvas paintings.

This exhibition is curated by Roobina Karode, Chief Curator & Director of the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art along with Manuel Borja- Villel, Director, the Reina Sofia Museum and Sheena Wagstaff, Chairman of the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The Kiran Nadar Museum of Art mounted a major retrospective of the artist in 2013 at KNMA in Delhi​ and has more than 40 of Nasreen Mohamedi's works in its collection.
