A Syrian woman, who was badly injured in a rocket attack, has delivered a miracle baby. The newborn girl was born with a shrapnel of the rocket lodged in her head.

According to a report in The Independent and a video posted by Aleppo City Medical Council on Facebook, the pregnant woman suffered horrific injuries in a rocket attack and had to undergo an emergency caesarean section at a hospital in Aleppo.

The video shows that the infant was lifeless for sometime after the delivery and had a piece of shrapnel in her forehead that pierced her mother’s womb.

The baby could be seen laying down on the table while the doctors frantically rubbed. The infant slowly began to whimper and show signs of life after that.

The hospital later posted on Facebook that the baby and her mother were in good health.

While it was a cheerful moment for the doctors to be able to save the girl’s and the woman’s life, they lamented that air strikes are even targetting babies in womb.
