Franco-Moroccan photographer Leila Alaoui shot during Ouagadougou terror attacks died of her injuries.

Moroccan news agency stated that the reknown artist who had been seriously injured had finally passed away on last Monday night. The young woman "died around 9.15 p.m in Ouagadougou's in a hospital of Ouagadougou capital".

While parked outside, she was wounded when gunmen opened fire at a hotel and at the Cappucino Cafe on Friday night. She was taken to the hospital where she undertook surgery for several hours.

Leila Alaoui's work as a photograph was widely praised in Morocco, France and Lebanon. In fact, her photographs were being displayed for the last weeks in the Maison Europeenne de la Photographie, located in the historic heart of Paris, a major centre for contemporary photographic art, upon a biennale happening in the French capital.

She died along with 28 other people, most of which were foreigners.
