Hindus have strongly criticized Denmark’s proposal backed by its parliament to confiscate refugees’ possessions; calling it inhumane, despicable and absurd.

Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, urged Folkekirken—The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denmark and the Copenhagen Bishop Peter Skov-Jakobsen to strongly denounce this confiscation law as the Folkekirken beliefs included sharing love with others, “strong helping the weak” and “God created us in his image”.
