A shameful defeat that highlights Trump actual support. However, despite Trump's defeat, Iowa caucuses throws into relief the triumph of conservative views. In fact, ultraconservative Senator Ted Cruz, originally from Cuba, reaches top position in the race for republican leadership.

According to Des Moins Register daily local newspaper, "Cruz earned his victory". Using the old way, he visited dozens of towns in the last week of campaign, shaking hands, responding elector's questions. He travelled by bus while Donald Trump, his opponent, would go from one political meeting to another by private jet or helicopter.

For this local daily, Trump did not quite play the game of caucus.
