Will Julian Assange finally be leaving Quito embassy, where he lives since 2012 ? Equador diplomacy executive did state that his country was willing to welcome the WikiLeaks Founder.

There is only one condition though, he shall not be accused by Swedish justice which seeks to question him within the framework of a case involving sexual crime. Swedish justice sought to obtain Quito's agreement for questionning the Australian within the embassy premises.

"We said right from the beginnig that we were willing to do it, that doors remain open, but only under the observance of Ecuadorian state sovereignity", reminded Foreign Affairs Minister, Ricardo Patiño. In December, an agreement of mutual legal assistance has been reached between Sweden and Ecuador, in order to give permission to interview Assange.

Julian Assange is being accused by a Swedish woman of sexual assault committed in Stockholm area in August 2010. Julan Assange is currently being subject to a European arrest warrant. However, he refused to go to Sweden fearing to be extradited to the U.S. where he could be subject to criticism for having disclosed WikiLeaks informations.
