Bangladesh Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister said that Qatar is set to recruit three lakh workers from Bangladesh for different sectors in the next three years.

Qatar needs a huge pool of skilled and unskilled workers for construction projects ahead of the Football World Cup 2022 and the country's Prime Minister has promised to hire people in large numbers, reports The Daily Star.

Qatar encouraged interested Bangladeshis to get training for the job recruitment.

Nurul Islam has also said the recruiting agencies must not exploit job seekers by charging large sums of money from migrant workers.

The Minister held the press conference a day after he returned from a three-day tour to Qatar.
