One man opened fire on Thursday 26 February in his former company premises in Hesston, Kansas, in the central part of the U.S. At least 4 were killed and about thirty were injured.
The death stoll is expected to rise, said to Sheriff T.Walton at a press conference, 7 persons may have lost their lives.
The gunman was shot down "by a law enforcement officer". The gunman's name however has not yet been revealed by the authorities.
Police remained in a standoff with the gunman's roommate Thursday night several hours after the gunman was killed.
