Turkish aircraft bombed PKK military bases on Monday in the northern part of Iraq in order to respond to the latest suicide attack which killed 36 people including its perpetrator, says Turkish army.

These bombings hit the Kandil zone involving a total of 11 combat aircraft, in Irak far North mountains, where hidden PKK rebels leaders can be found, as indicated in a pres release by the chief of defence staff.

No one claims responsibility for today's suicide bombing in the heart of Ankara, though its similar modus operandi reminds of the one that was carried out on February 17, in the same area, and which targeted buses transporting military personnel. 29 persons were killed.

The Kurdistan Freedom Falcons claimed responsibility for this previous attack, a splinter group with close ties to the PKK, and classified as a terror organization by the US along with the EU.
