Salah Abdeslam, a key suspect of last November's Paris attacks, is being detained in Bruges prison since he was arrested in Brussels on March 18. Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad has just released the individual's picture since he was arrested. It is the first time that the general public takes a look at Salah Abdeslam's photograph since the one that was used on his wanted notice by global police organization Interpol, four months ago. The man looks now different having grown a beard and a moustache. He looks unshaven, exhausted and with under-eye puffiness.

When being asked about Salah Abdeslam by newspaper Het Nieuwsblad, unnamed prison sources indicated is a model prisoner "a model for many prisoners" in terms of behaviour. He was reported having a good appetite too and being subject to harsh conditions of detentions in Bruges prison's high security section. "In his cell, the light is turned off and a prison guard checks the cell 8 times per hour".

According to his controversial lawyer Sven Mary, he wants to be transferred to France as soon as possible so he can "explain himself". But this will take several weeks as Belgium police seeks to question him regarding the "Forest" case, a shooting that occured in Brussels between the police and three men, including Salah Abdeslam, who was arrested three days later in Molenbeek.
