Presidential front-runner Donald Trump on Wednesday accused the Republican establishment of stacking primary rules against him to stop him from clinching the party’s nomination for the White House.
Presidential front-runner Donald Trump on Wednesday accused the Republican establishment of stacking primary rules against him to stop him from clinching the party’s nomination for the White House.
“I know the rules very well, but I know that it’s stacked against me by the establishment,” Trump, 69, told CNN during a town hall. He alleged that in some states despite him getting most of the votes his main Republican rival Ted Cruz is getting more delegates.
Similarly, he alleged that the Democrats have stacked rules against its presidential candidate Bernie Sanders so as to ensure that their favourite Hillary Clinton gets the nomination. “It’s stacked against him. It really is. It’s stacked against him. In his case, it’s super-delegates. In my case, it’s the obvious. But it’s stacked against him,” he said.
