Experiences in the Bernina Glaciers Adventure Territory
The Bernina Glaciers adventure territory between the Engadin and Valposchiavo is centred on the world of ice around the Morteratsch Glacier. Along the Rhaetian Railway’s Bernina Line, which forms part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, you can experience this world of ice at such places as the Cavaglia Glacier Garden, the Alpine Dairy and the Morteratsch Glacier Nature Trail. The panorama route to Tirano takes you over 196 bridges and climbs a gradient of up to 70 per thousand. Once you have crossed the Alps, you have the chance to discover the Valtellina, an area with mainly small family farms and world-renowned for its wines. www.bernina-glaciers.ch; www.rhb.ch
