Kathmandu [Nepal]: The lawn of the India House in Indian Mission to Nepal on Friday evening was enthralled with the tunes of various Nepali, Indian and English songs.

A band from the Indian Army-Pipes and Drums Band from the 14 Gorkha Training Center and Military Band from 58 Gorkha Training Center filled the environment with tunes.

The band from the Indian Army has arrived in Kathmandu to participate in the parade which is scheduled to be organised on the occasion of the Nepal Army Day next week.

"It is the most important things amongst all. I am pleased that the Nepalese Army on its day has invited the band from India and we are pleased that we could present them to you all too today," Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Manjeeb Singh Puri told reporters after the event.

The Nepalese Army which will be celebrating its Army Day next week has invited Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat as the chief guest of the event.

General Rawat, who will pay a four-day visit to Nepal from February 11, will witness the Army Day Parade on February 12 in Tundhikhel in the heart of Kathmandu.
