SC, ST sub-plan will do justice: MLA

Kadapa: The State government's sole aim is to develop Dalits and several improvised facilities will soon be arranged at Dalit Wadas with SC and ST sub-plan, stated MLA Kamalamma and District Collector K Sasidhar. Prior to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy's district visit on April 13, a meeting was held with the residents of SC and ST Colonies of S.Venkatapuram village of Atluru mandal on Monday. Addressing the people, MLA Kamalamma said all these days the funds allotted to SCs and STs have been diverted to other fields but now the government has formed SC, ST sub-committee to utilise the funds allotted for Dalits only. Collector Sasidhar said the State government will be releasing 16.2 % funds to SCs and 6.6 % funds to STs soon, which could be used to provide drinking water supply, sanitation and other works. The government has sanctioned Rs 9 crores to Kadapa district, he added. Sashidhar said the district administration is ready to solve any sort of problem of Dalits and jobs will be provided to 300 youth of S.Venkatapuram through Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu Scheme. Later, MLA Kamalamma and District Collector Kona Sashidhar inspected the land of Ganganagaram Model School near S.Venkatapuram. AJAC Madhusudhan, Rajampet Sub-Collector Preeti Meena, MPDO Julie Jaswant, Tahsildar Francis, Transco SE Santosh Rao, AD Ravichandra, Housing DE Prasad, APO Vijayamma, EC Madhusudhakar, SI Bojjappa, RWS PR and other employees participated in the meeting.
