rayachotiRayachoti: The Mega Lok Adalat was held on the premises of the local court here in Kadapa district on Friday. High Court in-charge Chief Justice NV Ramana and Justice CV Nagarjuna Reddy jointly inaugurated the Lok Adalat. Speaking on the occasion, In-charge Chief Justice NV Ramana said that the Mega Lok Adalat was being organised aimed at early disposal of cases for the benefit of complainants and it was a great opportunity to those spending time and money fighting their cases in the High Court to resolve their cases. He also stressed the need to deliver the judgments in Telugu and advised the advocates to try for conducting the court proceedings in the Telugu language. Justice CV Nagarjuna Reddy admitted that many cases were being delayed with the courts due to various reasons and opined that there was a need of setting up adequate courts in the State for the early disposal of cases. "There is a one judge for 10 lakh people in India against 10,000 people in the developed countries. We have the dearth of courts. Moreover, many courts are being run amidst poor facilities", he pointed out. Earlier, Chief Justice NV Ramana and Justice Nagarjuna Reddy inaugurated a water purification plant and library on the premises of the court. After that, they distributed few cheques to family members of the victims in connection with different cases. After the completion of the Mega Adalat programme, both NV Ramana and Nagarjuna Reddy were felicitated by the Rayachoti Bar Association.
