The employees were going on with their duties despite the inconvenience. Most of the streets including the main roads are flooded causing a lot of misery to pedestrians as well as vehicle drivers.

Heavy rains lashed Poddutur, Mydukur and such other places in the district. While there was 50.2 mm rain in B Koduru mandal in the district, there was 30 mm rainfall at Badwel, Porumamilla, Gopavaram, Kalasapadu and other mandals. The rains will benefit pulses, cotton, groundnut and other crops.

Kothacheruvu near Mydukur mandal is overflowing following unprecedented rainfall since Thursday. The water has flowed in to the village inundating the national highway. Pedestrians and vehicle owners faced problems as the road was completely flooded. The water entered the houses. The municipal corporation is two years old.
