Kadapa: Chairman of the 20-Point Programme Implementation Programme, Dr. Tulasi Reddy, said only political process was completed regarding the State bifurcation and constitutional process is yet to be done. He felt the constitutional process will not take place. He felt that the Congress party should withdraw its decision on the separate Telangana State keeping in view the public response.
The health condition of Durgayapalle Mallikarjun Reddy deteriorated on Thursday on the fourth day of his hunger strike at Kadapa. He took up hunger strike in support of YSRCP leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy. Without heeding to the suggestion of doctors to withdraw the hunger strike, Mallikarjun Reddy stated that he will continue as long as Jagan continues his deekha. ­Hundreds of women led by Arunamma, wife of Kadapa former Mayor Ravindranath Reddy held a rally. TDP leaders CM Suresh Naidu and Redyam Venkata Subbareddy took up hunger strike. Employees, teachers, NGOs, students, farmers, lawyers and others are taking part in the agitation against State bifurcation.
Teachers and women presented bonalu to Goddess Nalla Gangamma at Sambepalle in Rayachoti constituency. RTC employees took out a rally with buffaloes in Rayachoti town on Thursday and extended support to the agitators at Tahsidlar office who are on hunger strike. Taxi owners and drivers took out a rally with hundreds of taxis in Rayachoti town. Students of Ushodaya, Vidyadhari and TVR schools took out a rally with tri-colour flag.
