3 killed in car crash

Karimnagar: In a gory road accident three people, including the driver, died on the spot when a speeding car in which they were travelling hit a road side tree near Choppadandi in the early hours on Sunday. The driver of the car lost balance and hit the tree, it is learnt.

According to Vijayasarathi, CI, Choppadandi, the deceased were identified as Syed Ansari of Bellampalli, Mohamed Shafi of Asifabad (both towns in Adilabad district) and Syed Khalij of Karimnagar. They were going in the car to attend a marriage at Nagunuru. The mishap occurred at about 3.00 am near Kolimikuntla village a few kms before Nagunuru. One body was thrown out of car due to the impact of collision.

The body of person sitting in the back seat was mutilated and the driver’s body was stuck up between the seat and steering. The passersby on the road informed the police about the accident at about 5.00 am. The three persons were planning to return to Hyderabad after attending a marriage at Nagunuru. The relatives at the marriage were grief stricken with the death of three persons. CI Vijayasarathi and other police personnel inspected the accident site and shifted the bodies to Karimnagar government hospital for post-mortem.
