Manuguru: The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has developed a sprawling park, named ‘Kalyanavanam’ on a six-acre site at here a cost of Rs 70 lakh with several attractions for the children of about 2,800 SCCL worker families.

The park is located in front of the Area Hospital in PV colony of Manuguru and is slated for inauguration by the end of December. It will project the PV Colony in new light.

The park has several attractions for children. Exploiting modern technology idols of Singapore lion, dolphin, tortoise and parrots were installed in the park.

There are beautiful fountains and boating facility for the people wishing to spend good time with their families. The park has facility to conduct small functions and equipment to provide amusement to children.

Development of greenery in the park is still pending. The SCCL officials are keen to develop greenery in the park at a cost of Rs 5 lakh.
At night, the park looks so attractive under the sheen from electrical lamps.

Speaking to The Hans India, SCCL Chief General Manager M Mallesh said that the SCCL developed the park believing in the axiom health is wealth. The park will be useful to workers spending a gala time with their families in the park, which is gearing up for inauguration soon.
