Speaking on the occasion, B Shankar Reddy said that many people appreciated the decision taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on demonetisation expressing some of the their problems such as they were not getting change for Rs.2,000 currency note and even though they have bank account, many of them do not possess debit or credit cards to carry out cashless transactions.

Bhadrachalam : Led by the Chairman of the ‘Antharjaatheeya Gandhi Patham’ Dr. Busireddy Shankar Reddy, the representatives organised an opinion poll as part of the Keshtra Dharshan programme on demonetisation here at the SC colony of Nagineniprolu village of Reddypalem mandal of Bhadrachalam on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, B Shankar Reddy said that many people appreciated the decision taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on demonetisation expressing some of the their problems such as they were not getting change for Rs.2,000 currency note and even though they have bank account, many of them do not possess debit or credit cards to carry out cashless transactions.

The people also claimed that the decision would be have been better if the government made prior arrangements such as issuing of debit and credit cards along with conducting awareness programmes on cashless transactions and on mobile banking, said by Shankar Reddy.

As many as 342 members participated in the opinion poll organised as part of Keshtra Dharshan programme, he added.The Ward member of Naginiprolu village Chukka Narasimha Rao, B Jayamma, former sarpanch R Venkatamma, Ch Pentamma, T Savithri, Ch Ramana, Yellamma, K Anjamma, G Savithri, V Alivelu, V Bharathi, U Sharavani, R Venkateshwarlu, Ch Ramakotaiah and D Narasamma were present along with others.
