Prof Haragopal stresses equal education for all

Nalgonda: Common school education policy was possible only by reducing financial differences and discrimination among the people, Professor Haragopal stated.

Addressing teachers associations during the meeting of Democratic Teachers’ Federation at Nalgonda on Sunday, Prof Haragopal advised teachers create awareness among public on common school and its benefits, and to struggle against government for equal education with equal opportunities to all.

Expressing concern over the commercialisation of education, he questioned the government that how a civilised society would form disparities in education.

At present, a labourer’s son studying in a government school without or nominal facilities have to compete with a son of rich studying in a well-equipped corporate school.

This is impossible in practical. In view of this, government must implement common school system in order to provide equal knowledge to all.

DTF leaders Raghu Shankar Reddy, Kistappa, Narayana Reddy, Gangadhar, Somaiah, Venkatramulu, Shanthan, Padma Latha, Venkulu and large number of teachers participated.
