Speaking after inaugurating a two-day training class being organised by the Sangh here, he expressed concern over the problems faced farmers following the alleged failure of both the Central and the State governments in providing remunerative prices for their produce.

Kodad: All-India Kisan Mazdoor Sangh (AIKMS) vice-president J V Chalapathi Rao on Wednesday called for organising agitations for saving the agriculture sector in view of the crises it was facing.

Speaking after inaugurating a two-day training class being organised by the Sangh here, he expressed concern over the problems faced farmers following the alleged failure of both the Central and the State governments in providing remunerative prices for their produce.

Rao noted that as problems of ryots were increasing because of making more investments in raising crops, the government subsidies were falling.

He demanded both Central and the State governments to implement the recommendations of the MS Swaminathan Commission. Among those who addressed the inaugural session were State AIKMS president Koteswar Rao, general secreraty Ranganna and former MLA Gummadi Narsayya.
