Horticulture officials told to conduct training programmes for farmers
Kavitha, along with the staff, visited the horticultural nursery at Gadimellapadu village in Chunchupalle mandal on Monday.She observed construction of polyhouse, capsicum cultivation, modern methods of cultivating creepers, mulching method, drip irrigation etc.
Kothagudem: Khammam Zilla Parshid Chairperson Gadipalli Kavitha directed the officials of Horticulture department to conduct training programmes for farmers on scientific methods of cultivation.
Kavitha, along with the staff, visited the horticultural nursery at Gadimellapadu village in Chunchupalle mandal on Monday.She observed construction of polyhouse, capsicum cultivation, modern methods of cultivating creepers, mulching method, drip irrigation etc.
Kavitha added that farmers should be taken on field trips to encourage them to restore the unyielding mango plantations and added that officers should take special interest in supplying saplings of curry leaves and drumsticks to hostels.
She asked the officers to create awareness among farmers on oil farm cultivation. Kothagudem and Palvancha ZPTCs and other officials accompanied Kavitha.
