TSRTC bus overturns after hitting median; 7 hurt
It was a close shave for nearly 60 passengers travelling in Suryapet-bound RTC bus when the bus overturned after hitting the median at Malkapur crossroads in Yadadri district on Friday. In the incident, seven passengers suffered mild injuries and were shifted to nearby hospital for treatment.

According to RTC Nalgonda Regional Manager Vijay Kumar, the RTC bus of Suryapet depot, bearing registration number AP24Z 0061, with 60 passengers aboard heading towards Suryapet from Hyderabad, overturned after hitting the median at Malkapur crossroads, just few kilometers away from Choutuppal. Meanwhile, the RTC bus was also hit by another bus of Khammam depot in the rear end leading to the accident.
Upon receiving information, police rushed to the spot and helped the passengers alight the bus. Later, all the passengers were sent to their destination in another bus provided by the transport corporation.
Meanwhile, passengers who were on their way to their home town for the Dasara festivities, questioned the RTC officials
over the safety and the drivers’ recklessness.
