The Singareni Thermal Power Station has climbed to the sixth position in the country in achieving the highest plant load factor (PLF) during the period from April to October this financial year. Its PLF stood at 88.83 per cent. Earlier, the station was ranked eighth.

Kothagudem: The Singareni Thermal Power Station has climbed to the sixth position in the country in achieving the highest plant load factor (PLF) during the period from April to October this financial year. Its PLF stood at 88.83 per cent. Earlier, the station was ranked eighth.

The station generated 861.60 MU in October and transferred 811.70 MU to the Gajwel Power Grid, achieving a PLF of 96.53 per cent. While the station’s first unit’s PLF was 94.13 per cent, the second secured 98.92 per cent. Singareni Collieries Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar, who reviewed the station’s performance at the Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad on Wednesday, congratulated its employees. He advised them to achieve 100 per cent PLF by increasing the generation.

Among those present at the review meeting were Director (E&M) S Sankar, Chief Coordinator (Power) Lakshminarayana, Chief of O & M T N Singh, General Manager In-charge Rajesh, GM (CiviI) A Vasanth Kumar and GM (F&A) Ch V Narsimhamurthy. During the review, Sridhar discussed aspects like financial status and security besides the work of the new 800 MW plant to be launched shortly. He directed officials to expedite the process of tenders.
