Khammam: Telangana State United Teacher’s Federation (TSUTF) district chief G V Nagamalleshwar Rao demanded the government to withdraw the decision of introducing Contributory Pension System (CPS), and continue the old pension system. Speaking at a district body meeting held at TSUTF office in Khammam on Friday, Rao said introduction of Contributory Pension System would be a death blow to employees working in the government sector and was also not profitable for the government even.

“Pension is the right of every government employee who strived for the government and should not be considered it as mercy to be shown on the employees, he pointed, alleging that in the name of reforms and globalisation, the government was trying to privatise pension system by introducing the CPS system.

Demanding the government to withdraw CPS system and continue with the old pension system, a Chalo Hyderabad Programme will be organised under ‘Upadhyaya Sangala Porata Samiti’ (USPS) on November 24, he informed. He urged the all the government employees to participate in the programme in large numbers and make it a grand success. The representatives of TSUTF attended the meeting.
