On Tuesday, he conducted a review meeting on the progress of 2BHK at the Collectorate meeting hall here. He informed that the State government had sanctioned 5,424 double bedroom houses to the district and tenders were called for 2,813 houses and out of which, 193 houses were completed. Utilisation certificates for Rs 22.64 crores were submitted to the government against the released funds of Rs 23.56 crores relating to 2BHK construction, he informed.

Officials were deputed to identify lands in large scale in nearby places like Gandhi Nagar, Chivvemla, Cheedella, Pilllamarri, Tekumatla, Durajpally and Kudadkuda villages, he underlined.

It was decided to construct 253 houses at Tungaturthi Assembly constituency headquarters and 250 houses at Kodad. Officials were directed to submit the proposals after consulting the local MLAs.

As per the aspirations of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy to make one SC village and one ST village as model villages, as many as 30 double bedroom houses would be constructed at Muninayak Thanda in Chivemla mandal. Another 20 houses would be constructed at Sitarampuram, he added.

DRO P Yadireddy, RDO S Mohan Rao, R&B Executive Engineer Yadagiri, Panchayat Raj Executive Engineer Sangameshwar Rao participated in the meeting.
