Bhongir: Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy on Monday said that always language and culture are interlinked with each other and cannot be separated in World Telugu Conference preparatory meeting held in Bhongir. He was chief guest to World Telugu Conference preparatory meeting. Speaking on the occasion, he said language is the only tool that survives the culture.

Telangana and Andhra were united on the lines of Telugu language but during the course of time Andhra rulers intentionally insulted the accent of Telangana people and neglected Telangana in all aspects, informed. One should protect one’s mother tongue and should not oppose other’s language, he said. Stating, English is essential to grab the opportunities internationally, but don’t feel insult, if you do not know the English, he added.

He advised the people that do not addict to foreign languages. He suggested students and youth to give up mummy culture and honour Telugu language. As a part of district tour, he inaugurated a three-day district level science fair at Divya Balalayam located at Anajipur of Bhongir mandal. Science fairs would help the students to inculcate science temper and to drive them to become scientists for next generations, he admitted.
