Khammam: Tension prevailed at the SRBGNR Degree College in Khammam on Wednesday when the students of two different organisations got into a slugfest over pasting of posters on college wall. According to sources, a heated argument ensued between the two student organisations when one of the student groups questioned the authority of the other over pasting the posters on the compound wall of the college. In the incident, two leaders of Progressive Democratic Students Union (PDSU) suffered minor injuries.

The argument broke out when the student leaders of PDSU Manda Suresh and Namal Azad objected the student leaders of Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti (MRPS) over pasting the posters over the writings of PDSU. Some of the MPRS student leaders soon attacked the PDSU leaders causing injuries. The hurt PDSU leaders were later given first aid before shifting them to nearby hospital for further treatment.

Speaking to The Hans India, the town president of PDSU J Sunil Kumar said, “The MRPS student leaders attacked our men when we objected them over pasting of posters over the writings of our organisation. We are planning to stage a dharna at Dharna Chowk in front of the Collectorate on Thursday demanding the government to take action against the MRPS student leaders.”
